Silvia Pease is an Argentine-American creative director and designer based in Miami, USA. Founder and Principal of Studio 1231, Silvia leads diverse projects from interactive mobile designs to print media to product designs and integrated branding systems. She was the creative director of an environmental exhibition at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Show in NYC, as well as a VP of Global Branding for IDGMI technologies.
Silvia co-founded and was the creative Director of Carregal Pease, a multi-disciplinary design firm developing branding systems and unique solutions for Guggenheim Partners in NYC; Pinta Art Fair NYC and London; Publicitas, Switżerland; and the Mc. Donald Foundation, USA. Silvia Pease was, for more than a decade, the worldwide art director of the newsstand covers for Selecciones Reader’s Digest. She also created visual communication solutions for American Express Latinoamérica, Lufthansa Cargo, Corpevents and Varta Batteries.
Her designs were published in Fresh Ideas in Letterhead Design by Rockport and PRINT magazine. She has received two gold awards and a silver award from The American Association of Graphic Arts. Silvia was appointed to the board of directors of the Business Professional Women’s Club, and to “Who’s Who among International Women in Business”.
Silvia explores and researches design in all inconceivable dimensions taking her to attend intensive design inquiries and poster workshops at the Academy of Art & Design. Basel, Switzerland. She holds a Masters of Fine Arts in multimedia design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in design from the University of Miami. She is a member of the AIGA, American Association of Graphic Arts, Art Directors Club Global, Florida Art Education Association FAEA.org, The College Art Association CAA.org, and the initiator of the graphic design track at Florida International University.
